Could You Leave Your AI Platform Without Rebuilding the Business?

The easiest time to discuss leaving a technology platform is before the company depends on it. Once prompts, workflows, integrations, and operating knowledge are embedded in a service, the practical cost of change can exceed the price of the subscription.
Identify what the business would need to take with it. That may include source information, conversation records, configuration, evaluation examples, workflow definitions, and evidence of approvals. An export feature is useful only if the resulting material can be understood and used elsewhere.
Distinguish portable information from platform-specific behavior. A dataset may be easy to move while an agent’s actions or a complex integration require substantial redesign. Document those dependencies so leadership understands what it is accepting.
Procurement should address termination, retention, access to exports, and transition assistance with the appropriate advisers. Technology teams should test representative exports and estimate the work required to replace important functions.
An exit plan does not require maintaining a duplicate environment for every service. It does require a credible understanding of the options, the lead time, and the operational consequences if the supplier changes terms or no longer meets the business need.
360Views can assess dependencies and design solutions with proportionate portability. Knowing how the organization could leave improves the quality of the decision to stay and reduces the chance that an avoidable technical dependency becomes a permanent commercial constraint.
